Continuing Education Units (CEU)
Requirements for ICDVP Policy
CEU
REQUIREMENTS The
Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional Board (ICDVP Board) requires
completion of 30 hours of continuing education units per every two year renewal
period for Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professionals (ICDVP). CONTINUING
EDUCATION CREDIT CEU credit
may be earned for verified attendance at or participation in any program which
has received approval and authorization from the ICDVP Board to provide CEU
credit.

PROCEDURE
FOR REQUESTING A WAIVER OF THE CEU REQUIREMENT A request for a waiver of the CEU requirement must be based upon extreme hardship as described below:
Request for a waiver of the CEU requirement must be submitted prior to the expiration date of a professional’s current certification. To request a CEU waiver, you must submit the following to the Board:
The
ICDVP Board reserves the right to request any additional documentation that they
deem necessary. The ICDVP Board
will review all waiver requests and will notify in writing whether or not the
waiver has been approved. If a
request for waiver is denied, you will be denied re-certification and be
required to re-take the certification exam at the current cost of the exam.
